Interesting thought. I personally think that the BOD would look like rats if they were to recommend $17 with the stock trading at $19. How could they dare to do that? I'm dying to know what they are going to do, though. I know they're in CA, but darn it, will they wait till MID-NIGHT to give their reply? It's so hard to wait.

I will take your volition and raise you a conviction! (Sorry, had to say it. All in fun.) There is apparently a problem with VLSI and stock swaps. I'm not up on it, but there were a few posts (either here or on Yahoo) with links.... Long and short of it was that (It may have been with regard to US companies only - or not) it has to be cash. Correct me if I'm wrong, somebody.... please.

For me and my Jan 10 calls, it would be nice to have some of the time premium back - a condition that would occur if it was a stock swap.... as well as giving me the opportunity to avoid seeing cash this year - which then turns the gains on those to - LONG TERM.... (at the expense of the time premium) Which would be very nice indeed.
