Dennis,

I remember reading an article long time ago (might have been in college) that US foreign policy is based on bashing. It sure has been true in my life time. The last target was Japan but after bashing them for so many years, we got tired and have to find a new target. I guess it is only fair that China takes a turn.

As for the Republicans, the current regime will go down in history as the keystone cop era. I don't think there is a more self destructive bunch since that tape at the beginning of each episode of Mission Impossible.

The Democrats are also bashing China, on the human rights stuff.

After seeing both party in action, it is very easy for me to be a lifetime member of the NOTA Party.
