Posts addressing the lcos issue are probably most appropriate. Of particular note is the one to the effect that Diller is no fool, and this is certainly true. On the other hand, DW went way out on a limb resigning from the board and seeking a white knight. He's no fool either.

I think the split was ill timed, as it would have done much more had it come with the earnings announcement. Momentum is something to be enjoyed when its there, not to be recaptured once its lost. But there will be much more play when the lcos issue breaks, and I have no doubt that DW has some cards to play here or he would never have taken the risky position he did. Question remains whether the barbarians will break through the gates or DW can fend them off. If he does, cmgi will have enormous clout and respect on the street.

well, I checked time and sales and I am afraid it is part of a trade for 100 shares..:) wish it was 196..jim
