Look on the "bright" side Ed:

if there is a 9.0+ earthquake near your west coast home while you are off in Winnipeg you will be alive to claim house insurance [ after your place slips into the Pacific ] and,

while you are in Winnipeg you can visit "legal" gambling establishments near by ....as opposed to dropping in on your Premier's house for "illicit" gambling .....

unfortunately, that -20 degree wind that blows south from Winnipeg is so strong that it blew the NHL right out of town so you won't be able to see The Winnipeg Jets play hockey ..... but you folks already have have some sort of team out there in Vancouver anyway don't you?
