...and this is where logic leaves something to be desired. It is the very debt that is created that will eventually lead to the demise of the current society, indeed, I believe it already has.

"Pr 22:7 The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender."

There are slaves and then there are slaves. Slavery in a corrupt society does not bring, of itself, any good. One of the few things that gold as money might accomplish is to reduce the fallacy of greater debt = greater prosperity. Certainly, giving all control of the government(any government) to produce debt at will is no answer, IMO.
