WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 19, 1999-- Franklin Telecom (AMEX:FCM) Friday announced that it is demonstrating its Tempest(R) System VoIP family of products at CeBIT Hannover, which will run through March 24 in Hannover, Germany. CeBIT '99 anticipates more than 600,000 visitors from 100 countries. Franklin President Peter Buswell said: "Obviously, with our line of products and services, we need to be here. One core aspect of Voice over the Internet (VoIP) is that it diminishes the significance of national and international boundaries in communication -- the Internet is a global unifying factor. "This is the premier event for international telecommunication. It's very timely for us, as well, as we put the finishing touches on our 60-channel E1 international version of the Tempest Data Voice Gateway." In addition to demonstrating Franklin's products, interviews are being conducted to enlist additional overseas representatives for Franklin. Frank Peters, Franklin's chairman and chief executive officer, commented: "The last few months have been critical and productive in terms of developing and refining our product line -- which, of course, is an on-going process -- but we are now at a point where our primary focus is on showing the world what we've got and how our products and services can benefit them. CeBIT is the ideal forum to spread the word." Peters went on to say that conversations will also be held with potential joint-venture partners for Franklin's Internet and VoIP subsidiary, FNet Corp., which is currently deploying a global, next- generation telephone company utilizing a hybrid of traditional circuit-switched technology with satellite and new Internet Protocol Data Voice Gateways. This board was started Aug 26th 1996. I think it will end with this post.A lot has happened between than and now. Many have lost and made money. Many have stuck it out in the face of pathetic fools with nothing but hate for the company, the people here, or just seeking attention. I close this thread with a good feeling that this company and its shareholders in the end will prevail. The lights they are dimming and the door I am shutting behind me.
