The news that the new star wars movie will be released in digital form is indeed exciting. Celluloid film will probably be replaced by this new medium, particularly as the studios realize that the big profits can be made by spending their money on great special effects rather than name brand stars.
It would certainly be to the interest of all parties to settle "out of court", so hopefully they will act in a rational manner. Thanks for the input.

Greg, even the digitized movie transmission is based on CDMA coding (IS95), with potential upgrade to CDMA2000. Without standardization, or agreement bw ERICY and QCOM...Golden Bridge claims WCDMA (90% want it as opposed to accommodating CDMA2000) doesn't need QCOM's IPRs (use GB's ASIC and chip rate instead). Like to here your thoughts on this.

The 3G standardization process also affects Dell as well (all PCs) for the year 2000 and beyond.
