I think that you are right on target. With 3 of the top 20 titles in feb (http://www.npd.com/copr/products/c_vg9902.htm) you might be a little conservative not absurd on your estimate. I was looking to see if there is anyway to get a total number of units sold for each game.

2. wcw/nwo thunder
11 rugrats
14 wcw nitro

Not bad

Kai Tao....good work on your estimates. your final numbers (revenues) are similar to mine, but I wanted to add some comments on some of your specific quantities:

<<If we were to assume 100K units for the Play Station at $30 Whole Sale thats $3 MM. add 50k Gameboy titles at $20 a pop. thats an addition $1MM.. gives ya $4mm for Rug Rats Franchise.>>

Very similar to my quantities, but now that we have seen rugrats in the top 15 for first two months (and i expect it will still be in the charts for march), I think 100k may be low.

<<We have the Disney Game Boy titles.
Bugs Life, Mulan and Small Soldiers.
If Bugs Life gets 50K of reorders at $20 thats another $1.0mm.
add 25K of mulan and 25k of small soldiers thats another cool $1.0mm.
for a total of $2.0MM.>>

Wouldn't count on Mulan generating many sales.

<<This Quarter I believe Yoda Gameboy will be introduced.
if we assume 75K units at $20 bucks a pop. thats another 1.5MM>>

Not sure its still on the schedule for q1.

<<Now lets take new N64 wCW Nitro shipments. assuming 500K units
at $45 wholesale cost.. thats $22.5MM>>

It doesn't appear this shipped in that high of a qty. Plus its retailing at 49.99, so the w/s cost will be more like $37-40. I originally thought they would ship this many, but I have revised my estimate way downward, to 225,000.

<<In addition WCW Thunder for Playstation is introduced.
Assuming 500K units shipped at $30 bucks. thats $15MM.>>

I think you can safely assume its more than 500k. #1 in January and #2 in February should mean its sold through many more than that at retail already. I am expecting well over a million units on this title in q1.

<<Assuming reorders of the successful WCW Revenge title for N64
of 75K at $40 a pop. thats another $3mm.>>

Revenge was #18 in january and contineus to sell well. Probably a little more than 75k even!

<<Penny Racers ships..for N64.. you have
256K units at $42 a pop.. thats $10.7mm bucks.>>

I think you are way too high here. This game went out with minimal distribution and depth. Nothing over 60-75k total, IMO.

<<Add another 14MM of backtitles.>>

Whoa...thats a big dollar amount to put on backtitles. Backtitles dont usually generate much revenue, unless they are long living titles like wrestling / rugrats. THe only title selling numerous units not mentioned above is Nitro PSX on the release.

<<Assuming historic margins of 12% on Net side fully taxed.
you get around 9.2MM of income which divided by 12.2Mm shares
gives you $.76 cents a share.>>

I still think you .76 is probably not far off. Better be though, with estimates at .72.
