Hi:
What is your ref#?

Maybe WIT members can look towards WIT's IPO...
Hopefully they'll treat their insiders right!

Looks like I'm getting zilch from Wit... No confirmation,
probably just a message in the AM saying "Due to first come
first serve policy, we didn't even ask you to confirm"
I've seen that a bunch lately, although I feel like I get
to the IPOs quickly... Just not quick enough!

I can't even win with technology. I've been a member of E*Trade since its pre-public days and have fully supported them and made money off their stock. I've been in several IPOs including NETG, EBAY, GCTY, and a few other that slip my mind. For the past 2 months I haven't been able to get on an IPO because I just wasn't around on their IPO page. What did I do? I wrote a program that checks the IPO page every 5 minutes and if a change does occur it will send an email to my alpha pager. In essence I was completely 'wired' to the E*trade IPO page.

It was Wed, I was watching the Jerry Springer show, and my pager went off alerting me to a change on the IPO page. Sure enough it was for the I-village offering. I hurried to the computer and finally got in to fill out my IOI. It was accepted. This was done about 5 minutes after I received the page. I would guess that I was done filling out the IOI aprox 3:40 PST.

Boy I was proud of myself. My wife was telling me how smart I was and wrote email to her parents telling them of my sly way to get into the E-Trade IPOs. (Don't worry I don't let it get to my head) I too, haven't received any announcement of share allocation, nor have I received a note saying that I didn't get any shares. My wife now realizes that I am human after all. :)

Moral of the story:

Even the best can't win against a corrupted system.
