Good Grief!
You are in really in terrible shape! You must have done something pretty terrible in this life to be so consumed by a sense of sin and hate. Have you ever asked yourself why so many people are satisfied to continue to disagree with your babble? You really are on the wrong thread, you know. Most of the people here have thought their way through to an acceptable compromise. They don't believe in your hateful god, and are not about to change. If you were to speak your threats and poison to a young person you could be imprisoned for child abuse. I think if God were really alive, you could be sued for defamation.
Not only that, but you are ridiculous. Try to grow up. If you are going to run around preaching to people, at least try to learn something about theology. You ideas are so bizarre that you really need to identify which crack-pot sect you are a heretic of. Try to help us out by indicating where your strange ideas are linked into the long history of strange ideas that make up organized religion.

We were talking about sex.
or
Is sex a sin ?

Or, is it good, like it feels.
Does marriage make sex feel better, or will young people continue without the added pleasure that marriage may bring ? Have you ever had sex with your minister ?

The gospel according to Chris:

I am right because my book says I am right.
My book is right because I say it is right.

Have you any convincing reason why we should believe either you or your book?
.
.
.
.
I would like to confess something.

I confess that I think you're an asshole.

I know it's a sin, but I can't help it. You are an asshole.

Chris: Which god do you refer to? And if there is only one god, God, what makes you think your interpretation is more valid than others? And if that's because you have faith, and faith is defined as "belief in something in the absence of reason," then, like others who have subscribed to the Doctrine of False Consciousness, believing that they know what's better for others than the others do themselves, you might be wrong, huh...

I am not so sure about the eternity of torment for the non-believer's that is so popular in the church. A very careful study of the Word shows that the burning pit is reserved for the devil and his angels. The non-believer's are indeed thrown in there but it says they are burned up like chaff, poof and gone. The devil and his angels being made of sterner stuff do not burn up but remain in the pit. This makes more sense to me in light of God's attributes. I can't think imagine a God who said "forgive them for they know not what they do" would then turn around and torment the same people for eternity. It's a contradiction. God being full of mercy IMO would not do that. After all the purpose of this age is for everyone to decide who they want to serve, Jesus Christ or themselves. That's the issue. I am not convinced that God wants to punish for eternity those people that chose to serve themselves by choosing to stay under the dominion of the devil. Read Psalms 37 as an example. The wicked are burned up like the grass and are no more. It is also in keeping with the principle set forth in the word that to whom much is given much is required. The accountability for the knowledge one possesses is more severe for the devil and his angels because they chose to do evil with a full knowledge and understanding we can't imagine or understand. But the nonbeliever who went his/her whole life rejecting Jesus because they were convinced he did not exist chose that path through ignorance (having been deceived), not knowledge. They were deceived and therefore receive only a few "lashes".

Now Chris, remember your blood pressure <gg>. I know that a convincing argument can be made either way. But the eternal torment view is not in keeping with God's attribute of being merciful to the unjust so I have to give my view more weight because IMO it is more consistent with God's character. His judgements and punishments are just. Breath, count to ten. Count to 10 again! LOL

Listen carefully. There is no god. It is a man made concept to manipulate people, and you are a willing victim. I have nothing to be saved from. It is you who needs the saving. Your mind is obviously corrupted and has shut down the reasoning abilities that it once had as a child. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Use it once again before it is too late.
