Ooooopppps!,.....I blew the area calculation of the Winspear "feeder pipe model" as per my last post (#16081). If the radius of the feeder pipe is 1 km, then the area is (radius)**2 * 3.1416/10000 hectares which is 314 hectares, not 1250 (hope I didn't stop any hearts out there). Even still it will be the biggest kimberlite (blind) pipe ever found, if it's round. I believe M1 in Botswana is the current record holder, it's only 180 hectares.

russett,
thanks for the update.

About that 16 carat found in the drill core.
Do you know where they were drilling when they pulled this baby out?
Also, would finding a diamond this size in the drill core be considered
a rare occurence.

Thanks,
BB

OOOoooppppps, I made another mistake last night. Only 50 truckloads of Kimberlite have been delivered to the processing plant or are on route as of Sunday,March 15,....not 150. Guess I should go to bed earlier.
