Andrew - I agree with you to a point but I've seen too many of these plays either explode or implode just before results are released and it seems that magically the move is always in the correct direction. I read a good article in Forbes a while back that figures it's usually the lawyers who are to blame, at least when dealing with the NYSE. You know, a company is planning to make a bid for another company and there necessarily has to be lawyers involved and some of these guys decide to make some money.
