Edwarda, if that's true why doesn't he just come out and say it?

Here, we have no financial statements to analyze -- just Powers' comments, so why invoke the bugaboo of a financial statement ratio? If he thinks that NETA has been accelerating sales into the channels or discounting heavily he ought to say just that, and give us a reason for his assessment.

When I see a substantial increase in DSO it is a flag to me to dig further, but it isn't meaningful when taken by itself. Is Powers just covering his rear with that statement?

BTW, I left out one very important cause of DSO increasing. If an upgraded product is in the pipeline (like Pentium III chips or Windows 2000) and not yet released, it will likely cause sales in the short-term to decline, but upon release will cause a surge in sales. This will result in a substantial increase in DSO.

I hope you will pardon me if I sound a bit testy. It isn't easy seeing 60% of the value of my investment evaporate in a few months.
