Hi,

I hope there is someone here kind enough to answer this question. I've posted it in a couple other likely threads and no one has seen fit to respond. I hope maybe the discussion here isn't focused so tightly that I'd be off topic.

I'm filling out my first brokerage account application. They offer the option of having a "Co-Account Holder". What are the pros and cons of my spouse being Co-Account Holder vs. not having one? The account will be registered as "Joint Tenants with Right of Survivorship" which is obviously applicable for us.

For the sake of this discussion, assume that I trust my wife implicitly and have a stable marriage! <GRIN>

If you feel my request is inappropriate for any reason, please tell me. It seems awful hard to get anyone on SI to respond to a beginner's questions, which is disappointing. If I'm doing it wrong I'd like to know. Thanks.
