I guess it depends on where you are coming from....While I love fast-greasy foods!LOL...When I get on a healthy kick, I do not find it hard to substitute fruits and vegetables....just as long as I am "chewing"....But you are right....I often wondered if it would also be Politically Correct to start asking people if they are diabetic when they are ordering pies in a restaurant, or buying candy, or ordering the fast foods....For some diabetics, the disease can be controlled with a healthy diet....Diabetes, uncontrolled, can be a very costly ticket for the HMO's....And then again, what about overweight people...Maybe the govt. will look into those overweight or those who have high cholesterol and are overweight....It is a proven fact that overweight people are prone to heart attacks, high blood pressure, strokes, plus some of them are borderline diabetics. They are also prone to worse injuries in the event of a fall, usually at times suffer more back problems and/or knee problems....So, what do we do....Do we start adding extra tax at the register for those who are deemed overweight or diabetic for products such as sodas, chips, sour creams, sweets?......The list goes on...Truth be told, it is Politically Incorrect to smoke...so it makes the smokers easy targets! Wait, the MacDonalds of America, just may be next! What about those people who do not exercise often enough? We know exercise leads to a lowering of cholesterol and makes for a healthier heart...Maybe we need to have a way to monitor everyone to make sure they are following the guidelines for that also, and tax those who don't..
