From Keith Benjamin:

"EXPECT SOLID REPORTING SEASON ˆ The recovering stocks are already
beginning to reflect some level of positive surprises during reporting
season. However, we have tended to see the leading stocks reach new
highs, suggesting there is still some near-term upside for the group.
We expect AOL to show record subscriber growth and Network Solutions
record registration growth, suggesting strong trends for growth in
consumer and business audiences. Advertisers seem to be using direct
marketing tools to make increased spending more effective as consumers
buy more online. We remain focused on two stocks, Amazon and Lycos,
where we believe near-term confusion about sequential growth and price
competition at Amazon and the deal terms at Lycos are distracting
investors from superior fundamental positioning to grow into bigger
valuations. We expect results at Amazon will now beat lowered
expectations
and that complaints about the Lycos deal will draw
attention to the stock, which will rise one way or another."
