How does the new Sony Playstation affect the prospects for TDFX, as well as other graphic chips? Anyone care to comment.

Here's an interesting paragraph in STB's 10-Q:

"The decline in OEM sales is primarily a result of slowing demand for the
Company's Velocity 4400 and other products from OEM customers late in the first
quarter. The Company believes this decline was primarily attributable to its
pending merger with 3Dfx, but expects that its launch of the 3Dfx Voodoo 3 in
the second quarter of fiscal 1999 will improve OEM sales."

Along with the statement in their conference call that they had multiple Teir 1 wins, they also said that they expect higher OEM sales as a result of V3.

Plus, they said there will be a charge of $4.5 million related to the pending merger.
