There are various ways of evaluating valuation of course, including pe and pb and ps ratios compared to historical levels.

My comment you quote above was a tongue in cheek remark concerning opinions of some who bring out the "overvalued" complaints, which are vaild I believe, but which very few investors seem to be heeding. Thus the market, or the indices anyway, climb ever higher.

I have been telling my wife for five years that the houses in our town and other parts of this region are way overpriced. Meanwhile, prices have climbed 12% or more each of these years. I thought we were nuts paying what we did for our house, and now we could sell it in less than two weeks and get a pretty penny more for it.
