Just what is your point?

It seems to be that Jabil has to worry about Solectron taking their business away. Or that Solectron will win all the new business coming, dampening Jabil's growth.

You wrote:slr grew revs $800 million yty and has been growing at huge growth rates. they are competitive. very competitive.

Lets read Solectron's PR more closely. If you do, you will see that Solectron went from a $4.9B run rate in last year's FebQ to $7.6B in this year's FebQ. They grew revenues $2900 million yty, not $800 million.

You imply they took this business away from the other EMS providers. How much of the $2900 million increase was taken from the other EMS providers, and from whom? Please answer this question.

Jabil increased revenues 60% year over year, so it couldn't have been Jabil. But some of the EMS providers must have lost a lot of revenues, if Solectron gained $2900 million from them. Who was it?

Virtually none of Solectron's revenue gain was taken from the other EMS suppliers. The growth was due almost entirely to new outsourced business, and growth at Solectron's existing customers. This year, Solectron will likely take some business from SCI, Kent, and other big PC sector builders, due to their Ingram Micro deal to channel build PCs, but again most of Solectron's gain will come from new outsourced business and growth of existing customer business.

The ideas that these guys are stealing each others business isn't supported by the facts.
