we have discussed institutional holdings in the past, and they own plenty. also, institutions will at times "mask" purchases or sales by not purchasing in large blocks, but breaking them up into smaller trades.

institutions generally do not mind piling on late.

In that case, we have a negative float. (:>)

I think the institutional number is pretty close, although it varies a bit from month to month. Insider figure sounds high. In any case, from these numbers it appears the effective float could be fairly small. Any serious buy on good news could send this flying.
