csm, good qustion. Let's hear from the experts. What you say?

>>Also, as I understand it BII is just doing a listing, not an IPO so what has experience shown this to mean in terms of share price for Canadian companies that have done so?

csm, --Dagan said VERT I think it was had a valuation --P/E-- (price over earnings) I guess at 170 ----I looked at some NASDAQ company P/E's when you get a stock quote only very few give their P/E---some that I found were MSFT-(P/E) 73,----CMGI (P/E) 173, BAMM (P/E) 42 and GMAI (P/E) 38.5-------EBAY's 1998 sales was US$47 million, I think they have 129 million shares issued and their share value is US480.00/sh (not including 3 to 1 split)You work out the EBAY P/E.!!! BID.COM was reported to have a P/E at about 15 ??--Their 1998 revenue was Cdn$20.1 million. Cdn$6.50/sh. Number of shares for BID ?????NOTE: --IVILLAGE at US$24.00/sh. just opened on the NASDAQ at US$96.00/sh.
