Paul - you can already do that using the efax.com product and it is secure and free. They will be announcing a premium service that include broadcast faxing etc.

You can get a "free" fax number from efax.com so clients can fax you documents and then efax routes them directly to your e-mail address. Again no charge for this service.

Another internet "service" company born in Silicon Valley.

Keep your eye on ELON too (also located here in Silicon Valley). I believe they have some future products that will utilize both SUNW and Novell technology to support their internet network "appliance" concept.

Hello there!

I can understand exactly what you mean but actually in a NetWare environment, you can already do that. It's somewhat complex (yet not rocket science) but within one organization (or company), you can print from an office in say New York City to an office in LA. All there needs to be is an alias to the printer object (since they won't be in the same container) and the necessary NDS rights to do so.

So Marketing in NYC and Marketing in LA can share printed documents if need be via NDS, a WAN link and some additional setup :)

Also, they already have reserved the Digital Me trademark :)

>>Just think if you could knock on the door of some law firm and say we could eliminate all of your faxing expenses and let your attorneys fax from their desk to another firm's attorneys printer through Digital Me.>>

Paul:

This Digital Me IP print-through would be a BIG deal.

With our technology we can establish "virtual circuits" to carry live, streaming quotes direct from the exchanges. But this is only for display purposes.

Talking live and virally to smart server apps is the next step.

The fun is only just beginning.
