New HyperTV applications ready to go. The March 8 TIME DIGITAL magazine has a two page article on Geraldine Laybourne, the Nickelodeon Guru. She is launching " Oxygen Media" a new cable channel carried by TCI. Here are some quotes: " It's not scheduled the way a normal television show is. While we broadcast, we'll also be webcasting, where people can go deeper into a subject...or they can buy something....chat...or talk to an expert." " Our content is very much about convergence..." " We have simultaneous webcasting that ties in to what we are doing on TV. We know it's going to be clunky for the next couple of years, but we are building a brand whose hayday will be five years from now, when convergence is really widely accessible through set-top-boxes and computers."
