Regarding T's need for CDMA. One of the reasons T may be having problems are the number of dropped calls. The company I work for evidently got a great deal from T and purchased about twenty ERCY phones using AT&T wireless network. I catch all kinds of grief from my family for even having the ercy phone in may car.

For the last 60 days I've been using the AT&T wireless service which has turned out to be an excellent experiment. I am on a 600 minute plan and average at least 10 dropped calls per day. After dropped calls then system busy signal is the next problem. Once the churn starts people will never return to AT&T. I'll gladly turn in my AT&T service and purchase another QPE phone using Bell Atlantic as T's TDMA service costs me more in time and trouble. I am pleased though to know that TDMA is our competition. It will die a slow and agonizing death. FWIT
