Uh, that's one way to look at it. Another way would be to say it's al l a "youthful indiscretion", to quote Henry Hyde. If she'd shown better taste in "friends", she might have gotten away with her poor choice of "lovers", and we'd all be better off.

What ever happened to Rogan's characterization?

Senators who had seen the tape earlier remarked that they had been struck by her youth and vulnerability. Representative James E. Rogan of California tried to introduce her as a victim, "a bright lady whose life has forever been marked by the most powerful man on earth." Throughout his argument, he referred to her simply as Monica. And tacitly, he tried to get senators to think of her as their own daughter or niece, "that young woman," he said, "very much like a family member we might know."

Of course, that was in a different context. She might grow past this, probably not. You can condemn her if you want, but maybe you should say a prayer for her too.
