Found this discussion of the new All-in-Wonder Card from ATI in Thresh's review of GDC -

firingsquad.com

Seems the card is very well suited for the "home entertainment" scenario with lots of outputs, a TV tuner, DVD decoding, and MPEG2 encoding(!) as well.

Thresh concludes: "I'd say ATI has a good chance to offer something Nvidia and 3DFX NEVER will."

Ooo! Oooo! SOME GOOD NEWS....

Later down in the same article Thresh visited the Creative Labs booth and had the following comment:

"Jim Carlton tells us that Creative will ship a TNT2 product, but quite frankly, he doesn't know what kind of yields Nvidia is getting with TNT2."

Hehe,
Chip
