Excite is courting Hollywood. I saw it yesterday. This old news can't be what is sending this baby up so high today.

I don't know if this has been reported before:
Dow Jones Online News, Thursday, March 18, 1999 at 14:20

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -(Dow Jones)- At Home Corp. Thursday said it has
reached an agreement with Moffat Communications Ltd. to offer high-speed
cable Internet service over Videon CableSystems Inc. system beginning in
1999.
Terms of the deal weren't available.
At Home (ATHM) offers high-speed Internet access in the U.S. over
cable lines owned by companies such as Comcast Corp., Cox Communications
Inc. and Tele-Communications Inc., which is now owned by AT&T Corp.
In Canada, At Home's existing partners include Rogers Cablesystems,
Shaw Cablesystems and Cogeco Cable. These systems reach six million
households, At Home said. Moffat's Videon Cablesystems, the
fifth-largest cable company in Canada, reaches more than 500,000
households.
At Home said it plans to offer the Videon At Home service in Canadian
markets including Edmonton and Winnipeg. Videon is upgrading its cable
networks to hybrid-fiber coaxial architecture to support At Home's
broadband service.
