People are a bit prickly on the CSCO thread :-) Yes, I (and everyone else on the entire planet) respect CSCO's execution. As I wrote in a private message to Gary, my strong reaction to Chambers' blatantly false propaganda about the LU price for ASND probably reflects my frustration at the market saying for the last couple years that CSCO was going to crush ASND, hence the ASND severe relative undervaluation compared to CSCO. My research indicated that ASND had the right market strategy with the ISPs/WAN/backbone focus and CSCO would have to play catch-up while moving out of the enterprise focus. I was right, the market gradually realized this fact, and I rode ASND from 27 to 80 in just over 1 year. No sour grapes here.

The Bay fiasco occurred a long time ago. Chambers and CSCO cannot continue to play that tired canard in the age of global communications networks. As I've noted, the crosscountry merger company line is a very silly argument in this day and age, especially coming from a data networking CEO.

Hey, a little criticism never hurt anyone. And, go NTAP -- held since the IPO. Now if someone can just do something about my LOR/GSTRF -- two other very underappreciated companies.
