Hi Clarence,

I hope you found out what the problem was with your fan. And as far as I know the retail boxes for Intel CPU's that have the heatsink and fan are very highly rated. I've had no problem with mine not giving readings on any of my AOpen M/B's.

One other thing to keep in mind is you should not upgrade your BIOS if you are not having system problems. It's a popular misconception that you should upgrade it to keep your system current. It can often lead to problems. The old adage applies: If it ain't broke, don't fix it!.
