TA is just Technical Analysis - there are all sorts of threads in SI on the subject

In the old days it was just chart reading, now days there are many many different mathematical models, but in the end it is all based on price patterns and volume - primarily because that is all there is...

the basic premise is that at any point in time, the price represents all that is known about the stock by both buyers and sellers, and a further premise is that price patterns repeat themselves

that's TA in a nutshell, though of course everyone goes on to make it much more complicated
