Short term meaning probably sometime in April I would not be surprised to see a seasonal downturn that would affect all stocks.

Beyond that I still think that Y2K fears will tank the markets beginning sometime in the second half of this year. I don't think that a 30% pull back would be out of the question for the markets in general. I also look at Y2K as a natural event. A digital forest fire that is going to eradicate or marginalize companies not suited for business in the information age. Out of the ashes will emerge the titans of the 21st Century. MSFT among others will be there.

As long as MSFT executes the market will support it. I look forward to explosive moves to the upside beginning sometime in 2000 for MSFT and the US stock market in general. Beyond that, Asia should begin to recover finally in 2001 and we will be off to one of the best decades of stock returns in History. It should be better than the 1990's from a global perspective.
