Boy penni, I hear you. Everyone is at the circus, we can hear them cheering, and no one invited us.

When I was 8 or something I really loved baseball. Snuck a big fat transistor radio under the covers to listen to Vin Scully and the Dodgers, with Kofax and Drysdale and Wills and Ron Pernowski, whose name I liked.

I thought I would like to play baseball in the little leagues some of my friends played for. I was fair to good to bad, I played a lot; and really liked the game.

A person had to make 3 out of 4 tryouts to get on a team? I was in my front yard one Saturday and realized it was the third Saturday, late in the day, and I had been to none of them.
