re: dell...long term hold

i think any company with a balance sheet and even a "meager" 30-40% growth like dell should be in one's portfolio..

i can't understand why aol has a higher perceived value than a traditional media company, such as a disney or fox, or amazon over a barnes and noble or walmart...they may have a new approach, but to an old business...e.g...retail is retail...be it storefront or internet...it appears that internet retail jockeying for position is not matching storefront retail profits...

i cancelled my aol account which i tried for about three months...why, too much advertising....not compatible with other internet sites...but a community for the average person who wants a social environment...i prefer a real isp for my purposes...the ultimate money makers in e commerce will be those that master business to business...such as dell...i'll hang in, accumulate more until i'm given an obvious reason to move on...as i just did with cpq....good luck, ed a.

p.s....dell is next dell...agree, why search for what you already have...perhaps the grass is always greener mentality...and we know what happens when reality strikes....!!!
