OT: mailing lists. another, non-day job thing i do is in charge of the internet's oldest music reviews publication, consumable online. (http://www.consumableonline.com) . no fancy graphics, it was built on text, and the web site is still an afterthought...and no advertising. anyhow, we have a mailing list which is several times larger than market gems...and it's done automatically, using something called majordomo. i can get more information on it, but people can subscribe / unsubscribe automatically, and when a new issue is sent, it's as simple as saying: mail -s "New issue of Consumable" consumable <newissue and i'm the only one authorized to do that. - bob
