Both men have discovered how treacherous it can be taking on a well financed establishment.

I just downloaded IE 5.0, and the performance difference is phenomenal over 4.0. Everything runs at least twice as fast.

And then it occurred to me why those PIII systems Intel has been showing off browse the internet so quickly.....

Indeed, workstations would seem a nice entry point, but I suspect AMD of salivating over the margins Intel's getting on its Xeons. At this point, though, I think their primary problem is still production; until they get consistent yields, all the good strategy in the world isn't going to help 'em. We'll see -- they act like they're on time.
