Finally found it. Oddly enough, this DLJ news site quotes Reuters
but Reuters doesn't have all these headlines. I guess The Ministry
of Information hasn't gotten to all the sites yet. :-)

Yep, it's one for the record books:

RTR 14:33:24 MORGAN STANLEY CUTS IBM TARGET TO $195/SHR FROM $210,
RTR 14:32:42 CORRECTED - MORGAN STANLEY DID NOT DENY IT MADE COMMENTS ON IBM
RTR 14:21:03 MORGAN STANLEY DENIES RUMOR THAT IT MADE COMMENTS ON IBM
RTR 14:18:02 MORGAN STANLEY SAYS HAS MADE NO COMMENT ON IBM

Note that it's somewhat different than your recollection, but my head
hurts trying to figure out exactly how. Sheesh, I've seen
domestic-dispute segments on "Cops" that weren't this confusing.

So I guess we now know that not quite every broker was in on that
eye-opening last-minute straight-up run in IBM yesterday, eh?
