Well Angelique, I guess you and I do agree on some things.

I haven't been impressed with their website design either. I would be curious to know how much they paid CafeBC to develop it.

I believe there are three main factors that are going to determine the near term success or failure of DataPower. I do not count the website as a factor.

These factors usually can be applied to about any marketing company.

1. The quality of the video products they are going to be marketing. How do they stand up against the competitors?

2. The price of the products they are going to be marketing. BTW, many Purchasing organizations will tell you, cost is more important then quality.

3. Enough Capitol to bridge the gap between initial marketing and paid sales.

After doing a lot of research (outside of DataPower and WWV) I feel very comfortable with the first two factors. The third factor is the major risk.

Of course, Management would play a big part as well. Brian Harris has a lot of International experience (especially in Australia). I have already stated I am impressed with the background of Mr. Davis (VideoPower President).

After talking to experienced people in the field of Video Communications (including people at my own Fortune 500 company), I found that John Perry (WWV President and DataPower Director) was respected in the field and known to be a straight shooter. I can also tell you WWV has product samples out in the market that is generating a lot of interest. They are currently in transition from development to full production.

Long term, I would have to assess how World Wide Video progresses on the development of future technology. Can they keep pace with changes in the industry? I know plans are in place to do so. Brad is right with his assessment of Broadband... it's the future. However, I think it will be years before Broadband is the norm.

Now people can call me a "shill". That's their problem, not mine. I have tried sharing what I know, to the extent that I could, without causing myself or my sources problems. I will say this, nobody came and laid information at my door. I contacted different people... my questions produced answers, that were not only full of surprises, but, opened my eyes to the potential of WWV. I believe WWV is going to be a major player over the next 12 months. I look at VideoPower as a back door to that play.
