Interesting, back when the rumors of DoCoMo's dissatisfaction, we had some great discussions that the carriers would ultimately determine 3G standard. Looks like that is happening. Fitting that the consumer determines the product: After all, they are the ones who have to upgrade their systems and spend the big bucks.

Ericsson reorganizes company

*L.M. ERICSSON AB said it will overhaul its corporate structure, splitting the company into three distinct business areas with plans for four new regional corporate offices.

The Swedish company said Wednesday that its headquarters will remain in Stockholm, but that its chief executive officer and many other corporate managers will work from new offices in London. .....*
