A friend just showed me the current march 99 copy of
Computer Design's Electronic Systems Technology &
Design. The front cover shows the SGI sw1600 and
there is a feature article on lvds which is the
digital interface. The March 99 mag is not on line
yet. It will be at estd.com

Anyway there is also a 9 page overview from national
on the chips used to implement the lvds.

This info is generic to understanding the Number Nine Digital Flat Panel Solution Pack. Nine is a leader in developing lvds boards.

Not for all of you who are adults, Here are some very
graphic images. A Picture is worth a thousand shares. So
here is 5 dollars.

SKYT - good insight from yahoo:

Correct Observation

All of us would love to have takeout and have it announced yesterday. However let's step back and look at what we are facing.

This stock has been under tremendous pressure for the the past three weeks or so. This pressure is more than likely being caused by fidelity. They were the single largest owner of stock(8M shares +) and owned it in approximately 5 different funds. It appears that they have made a decison that SKYT is not the horse that they want ot ride in this race. The fact that they have decided to exit there position is a there and is creating an annoyance. However look carefully into what TRAGGUY is saying. The people in charge of liquidating fidelity position know that the stock will hold the the 15 1/2 level unless they decide to push it below that level, which is clearly not in there interest. Because technicaly if the stock trades below 15 1/2 there is a strong chance it will see 12 and that is the last thing these traders will want to see if they are still trying to leave there position. Because once it breaks on the chart there is no fixing it. So I agree with TRAGGUY in that you can watch the the same market makers who are sellers become buyers as soon as this stock gets to
the 16 level. They will continue to do this until there position is gone. Looking very carefully at what has been traded over the past three weeks would lead one to believe that we ahould be very close to end of this big seller.

I believe that you will see this stock trade back up into the low 20's as soon as this mess is cleared up. It will probably do so in rapid fashion. The thing to remember is that so many of the short term people look at this as a beeper company. The reality is that that the company is about WIRELESS transfer of information. Do you think for a second that Microsoft as the second largest shareholder bought there shares thinking WOW what a neat Beeper company. I don't think so!

What will happen from here is going to be interesting in the short term but what I can tell you is once this stock trades back into the 20's, things should get even more interesting. Because if there is a takeout in the cards It has to work for both buyer and seller. The buyer can not currently justify the premium that I believe SKYT will command with a stock price of 16. However let this thing trade back up to 21-24 range I'll bet you see a deal done so quick it will make all our heads spin. That allows both the seller and the buyer to look their respective shareholders square in the eyes and justify the move.

Lastly if I'm wrong on how quickly I think things will happen. I can tell you that companies like SKYT are going to have to be taken out in the bigger picture of whats going on in the telecom industry. We are soon going to be in a situation like we are facing in the banking industry. The strong are going to get stronger and the weak will be consumed. The only wildcard that I do not have a handle on is whether or not SKYT mgmt has any ego built in that will override the logic of the big picture. I don't think that will be the case but it is the
one of small risks that I must lok at if I am to look at both sides.

I hope everyone does well. I'd sure like to see this thing trade back up to about 23 and then get taken out a little over 40. Just wouldn't tht be nice. I really think that will happen I just wish I knew when.

Good luck
