Richard or anyone,

I'm trying to write a formula on Metastock 6.5 to find
stocks moving along trend lines (up or down trend lines).
This formula doesn't seem to be available in the manual.
I've had some success in improving some existing formulas
in MS6.5 and feel good about them. But I think to have a
trend line formula is also very desirable.

Any response will be appreciated.

Ed

....What did you use for sell?...
ans: a deteriorating 8/21MACD. (donated by someone on this board)

...What did you expect from it? What date did you buy, using
what indicators?....
ans:volume was shrinking and the pricing was sideways. I thought the sellers were gone. This consolidation period lasted 3 or 4 weeks.
I bought when the volume and momentum indicators turned positive.

..I don't think O'neil ever would say a stock with a 50 EPS rank, a 30
RS rank, and "D" group RS is the better fish (ratings on 2 march)...
ans: Correct. I am reading the book now, after I bought GBS. It
had the best chart of the "financial-banking" sector, which I liked.

...When you tested your system why did you choose to trust it? Why didn't you?....
ans:like most amateurs, my enter plan is a lot better defined than my exit plan (which is a work in progress).

The reason I asked for sell signals is because I am looking for one.
I appreciate your time though........... JCG

BTW, I am fully aware there are no 'one size fits all' systems. The game plan is to make the losses small as possible. Visa versa for profits. I'm trading successfully (knock on wood), but a better
exit strategy would be most helpful.
