Ken--The issue with the Panama Canal is confusing. One week we get a report that says it will close Dec. 31; the next week a report that indicates it will stay open. Go figure.

Some of this may be behind the scenes political arm wrestling over who is really calling the shots due to the change-over to Panamanian control at rollover or an attempt to stave off the ire of cruise and commercial owners who are seeing their profits vaporize.

It appears to be good news.

Should some really bad news regarding the remediation in the shipping industry hit the wires or some unforseen y2k related issue rear it's ugly head Canal authority may announce it's intent to close again.

This is a "stay tuned" situation.
