Asia & Emerging Markets Recent move up in Asia and Emerging Markets. Two funds Bob used to recommend are up about 15% in the last month. Montgomery Emerging Markets Price New Asia Also, some favorable remarks about Asian markets including Japan, from Jim Grant were noted in Barron's Up & Down Wall Street column on March 8. Favorable from a Contrarians point of view, because an Asian investment conference to be hosted by Grant's Asia Observer was cancelled due to a lack of interest. Has Bob had anything to say recently about Asia and the emerging markets? Bob had strongly recommended both in the past. He sold New Asia July 1997, just before the bottom fell out. He stayed with Emerging Markets until 1998, too long in hindsight.
