milehigh,
you do stimulate thought. actually you drive me to want to research more and more. i would hate to miss anything.
so far, among other things, we know this...

rdram is projected to be in 5-30% of PC's by the end of this year.

intc originally planned the roll out for 2nd Q. now scheduled for 3d Q.
they even said they do not expect a full 3 month delay.

the other 70-95% of PC's need a memory of some sort. this makes announcements of sdram production meaningless to me. no one thinks sdram will go away this year. the phase out does begin this year though.

every day or two, another major international corporation announces a new product to use rambus rdram, or to use rambus technology, or to facilitate rambus rdram production, or to produce rambus rdram, or to produce rambus rdram peripherals, or to construct rambus rdram production facilities.

are you suggesting that this is a big hoax? are you suggesting that the 15 or 16 dram manufacturers have been duped because rdram doesn't work? does anyone believe that the $1 billion investment in rdram announced the other day by sony and toshiba is a big mistake? do you want us to believe that the $1 billion investment in micron and the $100 million investment in samsung, in the past month or two, by intel for rambus rdram production is an error? there are approx 75 major corporations working on getting rambus rdram on the street this year. are they all wrong?

blind? i do not think i am blind. i am relying on the integrity of the finest technology companies in the world. they say rambus rdram is it for the long haul. i constantly check on their progress. they all appear to be ahead of schedule to me. the initial shipping of rambus rdram's begins in about two weeks. did you see that as bad news? do you see this as behind schedule?

the only way these announcements are bad news is if you shorted the stock, or sold it and are afraid to buy it back.

you know i am the rookie investor. i started buying at 53. sure i wish i sold at 109 but i didn't. neither did i expect to see 109 so soon. i will admit to some successful scalping here and there with 1/3 of my holdings. but, i have always maintained that this fruit ripens in 2002-2003. my constant and vigilant dd shows me nothing has changed that. in fact it looks to be a bumper crop.
