Zeev, Trufflette,

The following is a most interesting site about Japan. It is almost constantly anti-Japan government so you have to take it for what its worth. However, it does address a different point of view from the "official story".

One of the previous articles, (which I can't find at the moment), talked about the power struggle for the upcoming election later this year. It appears that LDP not only may lose control, they may not have the same internal party leadership necessary to continue to govern via crony capitalism, a la R Daly.

It is possible that many of the Japanese economic problems cannot be solved until the political system is reformed. That may be far more difficult than executing the standard fiscal and monetary strategies.
