There are some interesting chart similarities to today's market action. However, the resistance point at that time was DJIA 75 :).
Note the major, abrupt drop at the end of 1899, also. By the
way it took a full 5 years for the DJIA to get back above the
levels reached in 1899. This chart is neat because it flags the political and economic events happening at that time.
