Calypso,

You pose some interesting questions re Bidzos. I did not give it much thought when Jim moved up to Vice Chairman of the board. If anything I thought (without pondering it to deeply) that Art's taking over the leadership of both Security Dynamics and RSA was a positive. Not only does he seem pretty capable but he is also considerably less controversial than Jim. What did concern me was the departure of Gary Rogers at a critical time for the sales team (some product issues).

I did find it interesting that John Adams unloaded 20,000 shares at $20 on the same day I exited my SDTI position at the same price.

IMO SDTI is a fundamentally sound company, and I agree that it seems cheap but it also seemed cheap when I doubled down at about this price 10 months or so ago (before it went to 6) after last years earnings surprise. Last quarters latest earnings surprise will, IMO, take some time for the twice burned financial community to recover from.

If anything, at this time last year, SDTI appeared to be in a better competitive position (from an overall product point of view) relative to their competition than they are today.

I believe the options will be repriced to $16. They may have already been repriced to $12 last year. Also he has been selling on a regular basis since at least last year, maybe before that as well. biz.yahoo.com

He sold 80 mil. worth on VRSN, it could be he's just profit taking. Seems it was a mistake to sell as early as he did since VRSN is near $120. At any rate I don't blame him for selling, I would have too. He's now got enough money to last him and his family for a long time to come.

Not sure how the Severance Agreement plays into this either. post.messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com

He may also be taking all that money he just made and buying something else. Maybe stock in VPNnet before it IPO's ? I don't really know. I do think SDTI is a give away at these prices though. Don't forget the stock traded in a range of 10 - 15 last fall. If you add in the VRSN stock which ran up over 4 times what is was last fall I figure we are near or at the low right now. If they make their number this quarter we should recover to at least the low 20's.
