Perry There are cable systems and there are cable systems. I tried cable internet in Half Moon bay , Ca between Nov4, and Nov 9, 1998 (1) 69 people on cable (2) Only one T1 line from cable office to internet in Redwood City. (3) Could not get on SI during the day. (4) Reason...69 people trying to use one T1 line. (5) Think of cable this way. (6) Cable is like an 8 lane road from your house to the cable office. (7) But my cable company had only a single lane road from their office to the internet connection. (8) ADSL coming later this year. Larry Dudash PS: I got to know the cable manager very well(g)
