Sleeper -- It's always worth reminding fellow investors of the need for taking responsibility for one's own DD. Did mine a little over two months ago and picked SPLN off the bargain rack at $16, just three days before the NBA strike was settled, as I KNEW it would be. You had to know those guys weren't ready to give up those multi-million dollar paychecks over such a thing as a little principle. Thought it might be worth a quick 40-60 percent, but so far it's been better than a three-bagger for me. Sold half my position at the first runup to $50, used the proceeds to add to my CMGI shares at $99, which has doubled on me in the last few weeks. Oh, yes, I'm a happy camper.

Didn't AMZN exhibit the same pattern when it floated bonds, Sleeper?

Seems to me it weakened for a bit, absorbing the financing, then smartly resumed its upward march as people "bought" the idea. The SPLN financing seems far less controversial.
