First, there was some shorting that was spread out over a three day period. Second, there was clearly accumulation going on as well as short covering. On a day like that, LSI is very much in touch with the specialist to see what is going on, and this particular specialist has a pretty good idea of who is doing what. With regards to the Yahoo thread message that you posted, it is absolutely true that there are some bookings for the fourth quarter, although turns is still very much a part of the current business.
