Jay: The conventional wisdom is that the Monday after Triple Witching reverses the gains or losses of the Friday. Also, given that some of the boxmakers losses were due to the IBM hit, I would expect that CPQ will rally, at least in the early part of the day.

Jay: I agree with Victor. As of the end of Friday, the most oversold stocks [relative strength basis] in the tech universe were, starting with the most attractive, COMS, ORCL, CPQ and IBM, all with
a 14 day oversold level below 40. That places them within the 10 most oversold stocks in the S&P100 [OEX] index which includes true dogs
such as FLR, IFF, MKG AND CSC. The techs mentioned are due for a
rebound. Incidentally, AT&T was way oversold as well.
